Five More Instagram Accounts For Francophiles Who Are Missing France

Missing France

Ok. So it’s taken a while. But my optimistic spirit has finally come to terms with the fact that we won’t be visiting France this year.

It will be the first year in over a decade that we haven’t made at least a flying visit to France. You see, after we fell in love with the country on our very first trip, we decided to try to travel to France every year. So far, we’ve managed to achieve that aim.

But this year we’ve been foiled. I mean, thanks to the lockdown rules in Melbourne, right now we can’t go further than five kilometres from our homes. So France is definitely off the cards.

And I’ve got to tell you. I’m seriously missing France.

So I’ve been looking for my French fix elsewhere. I’m sure you’ve guessed by the number of book reviews on DF that I’ve been doing a bit of reading.

And I’ve been turning to Instagram for my visual fix.

A couple of years ago I shared my top ten Instagram accounts for stylish francophiles. So many of those accounts remain firm favourites to this day.

But there’s always someone new to follow. So today I thought I’d share five more Instagram accounts for anyone who is missing France.

Five More Instagram Accounts For Francophiles Who Are Missing France

I love Shannon’s account for the words and the pictures. Every day, Shannon shares snippets of her life in France, from her countryside walks to village happenings. Shannon writes so beautifully, you get such an appreciation of her environment. And then there’s her food photography – it’s perfectly styled. Safe to say I will be buying her cookbook the moment it comes out.

More moody food photography – I’m sensing a theme here. I love Selina’s styling and also the playful approach she takes to her captions.

Marianne gets colour. It’s as simple as that. Follow her account for the sun bleached colours of the south – if you love pastels, this is the place to go. Her shots of the more vibrantly coloured Alsace region also take you straight to that part of France.

I simply love the insights into the French lifestyle that Susan shares in her lovely account. I’ve also loved watching her home and garden emerge over the years. It just gets prettier and prettier.

frenchlarkspur

Ok. So every francophile and their cat seems to follow this account. But there’s a reason for that. Every single shot Tracey shares is stunning. If armchair travel is your thing, and you’re missing France, then this is the account for you. And let’s face it, everyone seems to be into armchair travel right now.

Not French But Stunning

Alright, so this account obviously isn’t French. But I’ve always had a soft spot for Venice, and Bridget’s photos are just so beautiful. Definitely worth a look.

Have you been missing France as much as I am? Or perhaps you’ve found some new Instagram accounts lately? I’d love for you to share your thoughts in the comments section below. Oh, and don’t forget the distantfrancophile Insta account. You’re very welcome to join in the fun over there.

And until next time – au revoir.

P.S. While I’m plugging our Insta account, I should also let you know about the free workshop I’m running with my coaching clients next Saturday. The session is ideal for anyone who is keen to get intentional about what their life will look like after lockdown. And the only investment is your time – unless, of course, you’d like to treat yourself to a nice new journal to make notes. You can find out more about the workshop here or head to my website.
