I’m so excited to let you know that we are back in Paris.
We’ve checked into one of our favourite Parisian hotels, on Rue de Rivoli. Rooms here have the most spectacular views of the Tuilerie gardens and we know from our time here last year that it a perfect hotel for one night’s accommodation.
Yes, we are only staying one night in Paris – although we will be back in Paris later in our trip. Our short stay is due to the fact that tomorrow we are booking into a French language immersion school.
We will be staying on site and attending classes in the morning. Afternoons will be spent exploring the village of Sancerre, where the school is located, and the surrounding area.
I’m really quite excited about heading back to school. Studying French in France has been a dream of mine for a long time now.
But I’m also a little bit apprehensive.
As I’ve shared before, our command of the French language is dismal at best and I’m a bit concerned that our time in school could be a complete disaster.
I keep telling myself that it won’t be that bad and I’m actually extremely hopeful the whole learning to speak French thing will be an experience we will treasure forever. Every now and though, I have visions of frazzled teachers tearing their hair out as we continually butcher the French language.
I guess I’m not going to know how we will go until I get there – please let me know in the comments below if you have any tips for us.
I am also really looking forward to sharing the experience with you all.
And in the meantime I’m going to enjoy being back in beautiful Paris – even if it just for one night!!
Until next time – au revoir.
PS – I will be posting more regularly while we are in France. You can keep up with all our adventures on Facebook or Instagram – which ever platform suits you best – I’ll be posting something new everyday!
