Finding French Inspiration – In June

Carte de Vins Basile Paris

Welcome to June everyone.

I am writing this month’s inspiration post from Paris – and seriously, you can’t get any more French inspiration than by spending time in Paris. I’ve found some great new vantage points for people watching and have come up with a stack of other French themed bits and pieces to share with you all in coming weeks.

First up though, if you’re like us and happen to be lucky enough to be in Paris this month, the people at Paris 21TV have put together a great list of things to experience, see, hear and do – and you can access it right here!

While Scott and I are here, we are keen to check out a couple of different museums. Pleasingly for us, Corey Frye has written a very timely article for Bonjour Paris. In it, he introduces readers to 10 Lesser Known Museums In Paris. I’ve got the Musée de l’Orangerie and the Musée Carnavalet on the to do list for this week!

In other timely moves that I’m very happy to see – Secrets of Paris author Heather Stimmler-Hall provides an update on the removal of the so called ‘Love Locks’ on the Pont des Arts. I’ve never been sure about this practice, and whilst I’m not entirely convinced about the Plexiglas panels, I’m very pleased that the locks are being removed.

Packing has been on my mind lately, for obvious reasons. I promise I’ll update my summer packing post soon – so far, I’m pretty happy with everything that I’ve squeezed into my carry-on – but in the meantime, check out Vicki Archer’s advice on packing shoes for Paris here.

Finally (and, just in case you missed it on Facebook), while I am thinking about handy travel tips for Paris, don’t forget to check out Diane’s great tips over at Oui in France.

Wishing everyone a fabulous June, wherever you are in the world.

Until next time – au revoir.
